This volume collects some of the poems of Pablo Neruda, Derek Walcott, and David Malouf with a keen focus on the various issues involved in the study of postcolonial poetry. In these poems, the four poets destabilize the dominant discourses of colonialism and heterosexual patriarchy while negotiating with the complexities involved in being a postcolonial subject. They are also followed by a series of intellectually stimulating essays that critically discuss their various thematic and aesthetic aspects in detail.
